Aldo is a true Amsterdammer. He has lived here all his life and has seen the city change quite a bit over the past forty years. It is much busier now, and you hear many more different languages out on the street. Along with all these languages, the city has also become home to a rich variety of cultures. Aldo loves that he gets to come into contact with many of these cultures through his lessons.
Aldo grew up surrounded by books and writers, which sparked a lifelong love of the Dutch language. He also enjoys playing chess, visiting museums, and is a true film buff. After completing a master’s degree in film studies, he learned and worked in a range of sectors: from offices to retail, from archives to IT.
Over the years, he came to realise that he wanted to do something meaningful for others. So in 2023, he decided to become a qualified NT2 teacher. He first joined NedLes as an intern and simply stayed. Why? Because he loves seeing people learn the language in a relaxed environment where there is plenty of room for laughter.
